At this graveling dock the engines and boilers were lowered and fitted into hull 290. On June 12, 1862, the first sea trail happen. The engines were two horizontal engines of 300 horsepower each. Back to the dock for minor adjustments. There here sails were bent for a bark rig.
Beside using after market hardware, the masts and yards made out of plastic are being scrapped. In time the will droop. The mast are being made out of maple dowels. The yards are Burch.

I modified a lathe to spin the masts by lengthening it.
